Say hello

“Come and plug in.”

Joining takes one short form. We'll reply with the chat server invitation and an easy first night to aim for.

Joining is simple

“No fees, no fuss.”

There is nothing to pay, now or later: no membership fee, no entry fee, no tickets. Joining just means we know who is in the room, can send you the chat server invitation and can keep in touch about the week. You must be 18 or over, and there is no test, trial period or probation. The form is simply how we say hello properly.

After you send the form a member of the crew replies within a few days, suggests a good night for a first visit and answers anything you asked. The reply also lists the week's nights, so you can choose a quiet one first if you'd like. If you'd rather turn up and see for yourself, that works too; the form can be filled in at the door. Either way, you'll get the same warm welcome and the same cup of tea.

“Tell us who you are.”

A name, an email address and a hint of what you enjoy is all we need. The rest is optional, and you can leave the nickname blank if you'd rather be introduced by your real name on the night.

Before your first night

“What to bring.”

  • Yourself, a friend if they are 18 or over, and a cheerful attitude. The rest is optional, and nobody will check what is in your bag.
  • A laptop or tower if you'd like to join a lobby, plus a power board if you own one. If you don't, borrow a spare from the crew.
  • Headphones, because Friday is loud and the rest of the room will thank you.
  • Your questions. The crew will happily answer every one of them, in the order they come.
  • A water bottle. The kettle is ours, and the mugs are too. Tea and coffee are free, and so is everything else in the room.
