“Two small notes in your browser.”
This page explains which cookies and browser storage items the site uses, why, how long they last and how you can switch them off.
“What this site stores.”
What cookies are
Cookies and similar browser storage are small pieces of data a website saves on your device so it can remember you between pages and visits. Some are needed for the site to behave, some remember a choice you made, and some measure how a site is used. Browser storage works in a similar way, and this page treats both under the one word, cookies.
Analytics tags
The site can load an audience-measurement tag, but only after you press OK in the cookie banner. Until then no analytics tag is loaded and nothing is sent. If you never press OK, you will never be measured, and the site works exactly the same either way.
Changing your mind
You can delete everything this site has stored at any time by clearing the site's data in your browser settings, or by using the private browsing mode of your browser. The next time you visit, the age notice and the cookie banner will appear again and you can choose afresh. Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies from a single site without affecting any others.
The kinds we use
We use two kinds of storage of our own: one remembers that you confirmed you are 18 or over, and one remembers your cookie choice. The map on the contact page loads straight away from a map service and may set its own cookies; those belong to the map provider, not to us. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not share anything with advertisers.
The cookie table
- adult5ba06d (browser local storage): remembers that you confirmed you are 18 or over; kept until you clear your browser data.
- gdpr_84410a (browser local storage): remembers whether you accepted optional cookies; kept until you clear your browser data.
- Map cookies (set by the map provider): only if the map on the contact page sets them; lifetimes are set by the provider.
Consent is off by default
Until you press OK, every optional cookie and every analytics tag stays off. The age confirmation is needed for the site to work, so it is saved as soon as you confirm, because this is an adults-only community. Pressing OK is the only way optional tags start, and nothing is pre-ticked on your behalf. You can say no by ignoring the banner altogether.
How long things last
Our own two items stay until you remove them. Anything set by the map provider follows the provider's own rules, which you can read on their site. If we ever add another item, it will be listed in the table above before it is switched on, and the date of the change will be noted on this page.
